Two extra credit opportunities over the next several days:
TODAY: The Globe’s Bennie DiNardo will be visiting with us Thursday for a discussion at 4 p.m. in Bartlett 201. After the talk, please blog about what DiNardo said, and have a conversation with each other about what he said on the comment board for this blog entry. You will be 1 point of extra credit if you have a substantial conversation.
FRIDAY: This may be a little difficult because of all the afternoon activities, but if you can participate in this event in the morning, I will give you one point of extra credit.
The UW-Madison Center for Journalism Ethics will host a conference, “The Future of Ethical Journalism,” Friday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (CST). Because travel is expensive and seats limited, we have built substantial ways for people to participate digitally.
to participate in:
1. live-blogging via CoveritLive, to read posts of insights from the conference, comment on them and ask questions
2. a Twitter thread for microblogging updates, #uwethics
3. a blog for more thematic posts and comments, during and after the conference
4. streaming and archived video
The first panel is at 9 a.m.
